Hi,
I just installed a Epson XP-305 and it works, after some tuning.
My setup is:
- Windows 8 host
- Debian 7 guest
- Epson XP-305 connected to the host through Wi-Fi
- Thinprint active in the guest.
I rebooted the guest and recompiled the kernel modules (vmware-config-tools) just in order to be sure that everything was up-to-date.
I downloaded the proper driver from the Epson website and installed it (a .deb package)
I connected to cups (localhost:631), then tab Adminsitration and then "find new printers". It said that it didn't find any new printers, but then the printer was there. Note that the printer has the same name it has in the host: a printer called "Epson" was already somehow available in the guest (e.g. when printing through the Document Viewer), but it didn't work.
I configured the printer in Cups (administration - select your printer - administration - modify printer).
Now printing works properly.
