Re: What is the fastest way to move a server from a VCenter to another Vcenter ( Besides converter)

Lester,

 

1.Login to your vCenter Server.

2. Select the VM, which you need to export as OVF.

3. PowerOFF the VM.

4. Keep the VM selected and goto tab "File"

5. In "File " you could see export option. Click 'Export to"

 

You are done.

 

1. Now take all the files and login to the vCenter server where you want to deploy the VM.

2. Once again login to vCenter Server, goto "FILE' tab, click "Deploy OVF template.."
3. In the wizard that get openes up, point your ovf file.

4. Give a name for the VM, select the type of storage provision.

 

 

All done.
