It didn't work.. the only difference is I don't have the cli installed on my windows system and I'm running the command from a ssh connection using putty... shouldn't be a problem since the driver installation runs perfectly.
The second install returns an error saying it's already installed... don't know how that was in your case marcop82?
I'm starting to wondering if it has something to do with the driver being for esxi 5.0 and not for 5.1 (although it's said to be the correct driver for 5.1 on the vmware site)
The problem is I can't install 5.0 to test it oud, because 5.0 won't recognise my onboard (lynx) sata controllers, only 5.1 does.
