I had a question regarding resources:
I have three VM's
that have been setup as CAD stations. I configure them directly under the cluster and have allocated 8gb of memory to each. However, not all three will be used concurrently. Therefore, in it's current configuration; is the allocated memory static and only allocated to a specific VM? Leaving it unavailable to other VM's?
I would like to have a pool with 24gb and have the available VM's use the resources. Therefore if only two workstations are on they will be using 12gb of memory each. Hence, if only one is running they will have all the available resources to their benefit.
I am aware that I can set up a Resource Pool. However, I have not been able to accomplish what I have just described - I have seen no performance gain. Therefore, can I accomplish this with a Resource Pool and if so, how?
